The PKU section provides information and knowledge directed towards specialists in pediatrics and metabolic disorders, general practitioners, dieticians, and other healthcare professionals interested in PKU.

The section is also intended to support physicians and scientists who are already actively involved with PKU and are looking for the highest levels of knowledge on every aspect of PKU, from etiology to management. Last but not least the section also offers the opportunity for young scientists to become part of the international network of PKU specialists.

PKU Academy presents invaluable opportunities to learn about PKU through many educational resources and online programs. In this website, healthcare professionals can access e-learning courses containing basic information about phenylketonuria advanced courses that provide the highest levels of knowledge on every single aspect of phenylketonuria, ranging from genetics to management. Users also have access to a glossary of important terminology in PKU, a calendar of events and links to international societies dedicated to inherited metabolic disorders, together with a wide range of video interviews and editorial commentary.

The PKU Academy website was initiated by EXCEMED to address the full range of educational needs of healthcare professionals working in the field phenylketonuria.
