Alessandro Conforti obtained his MD in 2009 and a subsequent specialty in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2015. He is currently working on his PhD at Federico II University under the supervision of Prof Carlo Alviggi. Dr. Conforti was an observer at IVF Hammersmith, London UK (2010) directed by Stuart Lavery, Consultant Gynaecologist, Subspecialist in Reproductive medicine and was involved in cycle management, oocyte retrieval, embryo transfer, outpatient clinic and operating sessions. He worked in the Minimally Invasive Therapy Unit & Endoscopy Training Center at Royal Free Hospital as Clinical Research Fellow from 2012 to 2013. More recently, he has participated in several scientific projects regarding female reproduction and oncofertility.

Claudio Giacomozzi earned his MD in 2004 and a specialty in Paediatrics in 2009, both summa cum laude, from Tor Vergata University in Rome. At the beginning of his career, he has been working at the Peadiatric Endocrinology Center “Rina Balducci”. He contributing to some important research programs, including the SAGHE project, at the Molecular Endocrinology Unit 'Bambino Gesù' Children's Hospital in Rome. In 2012 he worked as a Consultant in Paediatric Endocrinology at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children (Glasgow, UK), joining Prof. Faisal Ahmed. He returned to 'Bambino Gesù' Children's Hospital in 2014, joining the Sub-Intensive Care Unit providing his experience in solving the long-term endocrine complications in several severe diseases such as cerebral palsy, metabolic disorders and adrenal insufficiency. He has been in charge of the Peadiatric Unit of ‘Carlo Poma’ Hospital in Mantua since 2015, carrying on the Paediatric Endocrinology Service. A member of the Italian Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ISPED) and the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE), Dr. Giacomozzi is also a reviewer for scientific journals including Hormone Research in Paediatrics, Pediatric Research, and Oxford Medical Case Reports.

Doriana Landi

Doriana Landi is a clinical neurologist at the UOSD Centro Sclerosi Multipla, Policlinico di Roma Tor Vergata. Dr Landi gained her medical degree at Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma, Italy, where she remained to complete her Neurology residency and PhD. During her residency she has also completed several Clinical and Research Internships at the MS center of the S. Andrea Hospital, University La Sapienza, Rome, and at the Radiology Department of the VU Medisch Centrum, Amsterdam. Dr. Landi is currently responsible for the Clinical Trial Unit at UOSD Centro Sclerosi Multipla, Policlinico di Roma Tor Vergata that runs several phase II, III and IV multiple sclerosis clinical trials. Her key research interest is the use of imaging techniques in the diagnosis and management of multiple sclerosis.

Ernesto Maddaloni earned his M.D. from the University Campus Bio-Medico, Rome, Italy, where he currently works as a medical doctor in the department of Medicine, Unit of Endocrinology and Diabetes. He is involved in diabetes research as he is a clinical investigator in several international clinical trials, including trials for the prevention of type 1 diabetes and for the evaluation of cardiovascular outcomes of new agents for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Dr. Maddaloni completed his Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at the Vascular Cell Biology Section, Research Division, of the Joslin Diabetes Center, Harvard Medical School (Boston, USA) in 2015.

Maria Giulia Minasi (1967), B.Sc., M.Sc. is Senior Clinical Embryologist and Laboratory Director of the Center for Reproductive Medicine at European Hospital in Rome, Italy (from September 2009). She obtained a Biology degree in 1993 at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” and a Master’s in Reproductive Medicine at the University of Padova, Italy, 2011. She worked as an embryologist in different PMA laboratories in Rome, Italy from 1994 to1997 and served as a researcher in the Department of Histology and Embryology, University of Rome “La Sapienza”, working on a stem cells project (from 1998-2000). Dr. Minasi has been working at the Centre for Reproductive Medicine of European Hospital in Rome since 2001. She became an Associate Editor for scientific journal Current Trends in Clinical Embryology (CCE) from 2014 and has published over 53 peer-reviewed scientific papers and presented over 60 invited lectures at national and international meetings.

Sesh Kamal Sunkara

Sesh Kamal Sunkara is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery specializing in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG), UK. She undertook translational research in Reproductive Medicine at the Assisted Conception Unit, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College London which formed the basis for her research degree in Reproductive Medicine; Doctor of Medicine (MD) awarded by King’s College London. She worked as a Consultant gynecologist and Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine at the Aberdeen Fertility Centre, University of Aberdeen before moving to Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals to set up a new IVF service. In addition to her clinical work, she has published in the field of Reproductive Medicine and authored several book chapters. She is Associate Editor for Human Reproduction, the journal of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and is on the executive board of the Reproductive Medicine Clinical Studies Group, which actively supports multi-centre research studies in the UK.

Stefano Taddei attended the State University of Pisa, where he graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1982 and specialized in Clinical Pharmacology in 1986. He is Professor of Internal Medicine and is currently Director of the Hypertension Unit of the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine. Prof Taddei is also a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology, the European, International and American Societies of Hypertension, the European Society of Clinical Investigation, the High Blood Pressure Council of the American Heart Association, and of the Italian Society of Hypertension. He also served as a councilor of the Italian Society of Hypertension (2007-2009). He is a member of the Editorial Boards of Hypertension, Blood Pressure, Journal of Cardiovascular Pharmacology, Current Vascular Pharmacology, Current Hypertension Reviews, High Blood Pressure and Cardiovascular Prevention and the Journal of American Society of Hypertension. He is an International Associate Editor of the European Heart Journal. Prof Taddei has participated in numerous clinical studies and is the author of more than 300 original papers, reviews and editorials in international scientific journals (H index: 55; Impact Factor: >1400).
