Overview

This e-learning activity is aimed to provide clues on how to perform the differential diagnosis work up and choose the best treatment option taking into account patient’s autoimmune comorbidities.

A clinical case based approach has been used in order to actively involve the learners in the process of differential diagnosis of neurological complications of connectivitis and MS. A short summary of scientific literature is also provided. This is a multistep clinical case presenting a true case of a patient with serology and clinical findings suggestive for connectivitis (Sjogren’s syndrome) which is also diagnosed with MS. For each step of the case multiple choice questions and evidence based explanations are provided.

 Learning objectives

  • Describe how to perform the differential diagnosis of neurological complications of connectivitis and MS
  • Define the most suitable treatment approach in patients with MS and Sjogren’s Syndrome
