Assessing the success and effectiveness of our activities
As part of EXCEMED's commitment to continually improve our medical educational programmes and to ensure that participants
to our activities receive the maximum benefit from their educational experience we assess the impact of our activities via
structured learner feedback.
Attendees at live educational events are required to complete questionnaires at specified points before, during and after
the conference. The questionnaires contain subject matter questions directly related to the learning objectives of the conference
and are designed to measure participants' acquisition and retention of knowledge as well as positive changes in their performance
as a result of the educational intervention.
Participants are engaged in the following structured evaluation steps:
- Pre-survey: prior to the live educational event attendees complete an online survey assessing their knowledge level and competence.
The results enable faculty members to further tailor their presentation according to the needs of the audience.
- Live interaction: questions are asked during the event with the goal of increasing interaction between the audience and speakers and of measuring
the evolution of the level of participants' knowledge and their commitment to change. In addition, we measure the overall
satisfaction, the meeting of stated learning objectives, whether the event is free from commercial bias and the benefit to
patients.
- Immediately post-event survey: attendees complete an online survey to measure the evolution of their knowledge and competence as a result of attending
the conference.
- Longer term follow-up survey: we assess the longer term practical impact of the educational activity through participants' self-reported changes.
