Operations

The EXCEMED team is based in Rome, Italy, and is led by the Head of Educational Strategy, Roberta Cenci.

The team designs and manages all the Foundation's educational activities – both live events and e-learning. 

Medical Advisors work with the team in each specialty area to oversee scientific content and ensure that all material, both live and online, meets the requirements for CME accreditation.

The team also maintains close dialogue with Scientific Organizers for each EXCEMED live and online educational programme.

Learning Effectiveness Programme

EXCEMED’s Learning Effectiveness Programme monitors the knowledge, competence and change in practice among participants of live educational events immediately prior to, during, and six months after the event. Attendee satisfaction is also queried. The goals of the LEP are to continuously improve educational offerings as well as identify and fill educational gaps worldwide.

Independent medical education

Ensuring that the medical education we provide is truly independent and free of commercial bias is a fundamental principle which underlies our working practices.

The quality and independence of our medical education programmes are assured by a dedicated Scientific Committee composed of renowned international experts. We also operate an annual employee compliance certification process, and assess their adherence to internal policies outlining appropriate communications with grantors.

EXCEMED is also a member of the European ‘Good CME Practice Group’, proactively working with other medical education providers to enhance the standards of medical education.
