Professor Giancarlo Comi is a world leading expert in Multiple Sclerosis and and was awarded the Charcot Award for MS research by the MS International Federation in 2015. He is also Chairman of the Department of Neurology and Director of the Institute of Experimental Neurology at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan.
In Episode 14 of the Covid (r)Evolution series, Prof. Comi discusses the main global “revolution” that has occurred as a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
He also discusses his work as Chair of the scientific committee for the "Human Brains" project sponsored by Fondazione Prada, outlining the importance of art in helping to cope with the pandemic and pandemic related traumas.
As well as examining initiatives put in place to support patients with disabilities, Prof. Comi goes on to highlight the the pros and cons of online medical education, reflecting on how the field is changing in current times.
