Dr Asma Deeb, Consultant and Chief of Pediatric Endocrinology at Sheik Shakhbout Medical City, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, discusses the state of Pediatric Endocrinology in the midst of Covid-19 and beyond.

Dr Deeb highlights the ramifications of Covid-19 on the wellbeing of patients, and discusses the potential future shift in scientific research in the field. She also outlines adjustments she hopes to see in her clinic's organisational structure to minimise foreseeable risks from the ongoing coronavirus health crisis. Dr Deeb goes on to detail best practice methods, giving advice to clinicians and patients, on how to manage the risk of exposure, and how best to operate in the climate of Covid-19.
