EXCEMED is proud to announce the 2015 "4th European - Middle East forum on cardiovascular risks". This live educational event will examine recent evidence in the treatment of hypertension with a specific focus on the correct  utilisation  of  the  “old”  drugs  such  as  beta- blockers and the “new” therapeutic approaches such as renal denervation. There will also be discussions on the  main  hypertension  -  derived  clinical  conditions, including acute coronary syndrome and heart failure. Possible  solutions  will  be  explored  through  direct interaction with participants using clinical cases.

Learning objectives

By attending this live educational conference, participants will be able to:

  • Evaluate the relevance of hypertension in different populations and if there is still a possible therapeutic role for renal denervation
  • Acquire new information about recent strategies in the clinical approach to atrial fibrillation
  • Actively participate in the debate about the real effectiveness of renal denervation in the treatment of essential hypertension
  • Manage the complexity of the relationship of hypertension and heart failure with particular attention to the potentiating role of associated thyroid disease and the possible beneficial effect of pharmacological antihypertensive treatment
