EXCEMED designed this programme in partnership with Prova Education.
Surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy are the primary treatment modalities for patients affected by head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. Major advances in this disease have been made through developing technologies, such as in radiation therapy, whether by intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) or proton-beam therapy. Treatments are intensive, and therefore associated with significant acute and late toxicities. As treatments have become more effective, survivorship and long-term quality of life issues around gained importance. This course will give an overview of current evidence and management, recent developments, and insight into future directions for managing of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
