Nicolas Magné (MD, PhD) is full professor of medicine and chairman in radiation oncology at Jean Monnet Saint Etienne University in France. He is head of the department of radiotherapy, director of research and innovation at the “Institut de Cancérologie de la Loire Lucien Neuwirth” in Saint Etienne, France. He is head coordinator of internship educations in the region Rhône Alpes Auvergne. He is also coordinator of the preclinical radiation therapy laboratory in the Faculty of medicine of South Lyon, France. Professor Magné experienced as an assistant professor in the department of radiation oncology in Gustave Roussy Campus Cancer in France. He had also integrated the team of phase I clinical trial in this institute in order to promote and to develop new drugs as a partner of ionizing radiation in clinical strategy setting.  His research interests and topics include the supportive care cancer, head and neck oncology, breast cancer, glioblastomas, pharmacological biomodulation and basic science with a particular scope in tumoral stem cells and invasion/migration. 

Professor Magné has published more than 275 papers in international and national peer-reviewed oncology journals, contributed chapters to a number of textbooks and participated as an editorial member in several national and international oncology journals. He is a member of multiple national and international academic societies, gives advice to several biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, and is an independent advisor to a number organisations and institutions in Europe, Asia and North/South Americas. He also creates a national and international collaboration for educational aspects (fellowships coming from North Africa, South America, Asia), for clinical and basic research and humanitarian programs for countries in transition. In August 2014, he was granted as an academic adviser of West-China Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology Association and for a position as a guest professor of Sichuan Cancer Hospital/Institute.
