Christophe  Blockeel  is  Medical  Director  of the  Centre  for  Reproductive  Medicine, University Hospitals Brussels (UZ Brussel), Belgium. Prof. Blockeel graduated from the University of  Ghent,  Belgium  in  2000  and  became  a specialist  in  obstetrics  and  gynaecology  in 2005.  In  2008,  he  was  recognised  as  a subspecialist  in  reproductive  medicine  and surgery by ESHRE and the European Board and College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He  obtained  his  PhD  with  a  thesis  entitled “The optimisation of the follicular phase in GnRH  antagonist  cycles”  in  2012  and became Professor at the Free University of Brussels (VUB), Belgium, the same year. Prof.  Blockeel  has  worked  in  the  field  of infertility  for  several  years,  with  his  main interest  being  reproductive  endocrinology. He  has  published  scientific  work  in  many peer-reviewed journals and lectured at many international meetings.
