Overview

Based on current evidence, a multidisciplinary approach is strongly recommended for improving the clinical outcome and survival rates of metastatic colorectal cancer patients. This live educational course will give participants the opportunity to observe how a multidisciplinary approach is applied within a centre of excellence. This programme will be practice-oriented and will allow participants to fully integrate into the daily activity of the centre. The course encompasses lectures, clinical case study discussions, question and answer sessions and participation in a multidisciplinary team meeting.

Learning objectives

• Define criteria for the resectability of liver metastases from colorectal cancer

• Summarise current evidence on diagnosis and therapy for metastatic colorectal cancer patients

• Apply the multidisciplinary approach in the management of metastatic colorectal cancer patient
