The Latin American Society of Nephrology and Hypertension (SLANH)
The Latin American Society of Nephrology and Hypertension (SLANH), established in 1970, seeks to improve kidney health in the Latin American population, contribute to the dissemination of knowledge about nephrology and hypertension, and promote and guide the education of nephrologists. It is composed of nephrology societies in over 20 countries of Latin America, bringing together the majority of the 8000 nephrologists in the region. SLANH has 1800 active members.
The Asia Pacific Society of Hypertension
APSH was formally established in 1997. The society is a confederation of national societies of hypertension, or the hypertension section of a national cardiac society. The society is established to advance the clinical and scientific understanding of hypertension and to improve the treatment of hypertension and related vascular disorders in the community
European Society of Cardiology
The European Society of Cardiology (ESC) represents over 80,000 cardiology professionals, principally from across Europe and the Mediterranean basin, but also from the rest of the world. he ESC provides an array of scientific and educational activities, such as the production and continuous updating of Clinical Practice Guidelines, the organisation of educational courses and initiatives, pan-European surveys on specific disease areas.It also organises the ESC Congress, the largest and most influential cardiology event in the world. The ESC is also proud to hold, in conjunction with its constituent bodies,several subspecialty congresses, which are becoming increasingly popular within the profession. The ESC also edits and publishes 9 of the world's leading journals on cardiology.
